Monday, May 18: ~ Review for Forensics Test ~ Today is the last day to complete any forensic labs ~ Retakes and extra help available until 3:15 Tuesday, May 19: ~ Forensics test -- ESSAY QUESTION: When a crime is committed, scientific analysis is needed to find the truth and seek justice in a legal proceeding. Describe how each of the forensic professionals (police officers, CSI, detectives, coroners) are involved in this process. Be sure to discuss typical crime scene protocols. (Answer using a paragraph with at least 5-7 complete, complex sentences.) Wednesday, May 20: ~ Forensic Unit Wrap-up: Students are to write a 2-3 paragraph persuasive essay addressing our forensics unit "Murder of the Math Teacher". They need to imagine that they are lawyers trying to convince a judge WHO is guilty and WHY that person is guilty. They need to make sure to address all evidence, specifically the evidence that points to multiple suspects. (This may be written in a first-person story.)
